Ingxolo

Ingxolo is the Xhosa word for noise. I love Statix and Calyxia for their noisy, glitch-based output, but I also feel that the post-processing and limited randomness can be restrictive. Ingxolo goes back to the pixel layer of Processing, and directly tweaks the canvas. A little darkness is applied towards the edge of the canvas, but the noisy signals of a modular-based algorithm are essentially untouched. In this case, if you happen to have read about my Xisal algorithm, I actually do mean modular mathematics: a seed value produces start values, increment and ranges for hue, saturation and brightness, and each pixel is modified by the increment amount, and the range applied using the modulo function. Short loops, tightly-limited numbers, often a limited hue-range, Ingxolo is a little slice of near-monochrome, pure, staticky chaos.
